Cheap Bathroom Updates

Paint the walls. This is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to update your bathroom. Keep it neutral with gray, greige or white!
Glaze old tile. Glazing tile is a great way to change the look without having to rip it out and redo it all!
Change the fixtures. This is another easy and affordable way to update your bathroom. You can use basic hardware store plumbing fixtures, and don’t have to go to the expensive plumbing supply stores. We like brushed nickel, but other styles available are chrome or oil rubbed bronze. Just make sure they all match!
Add a new shower curtain or liner. A new shower curtain or liner can add a touch of color and style to your bathroom. You can choose a shower curtain or liner that matches your towels or bathmats, or you can choose a bolder color to make a statement.
Update the lighting. Consider upgrading to new lighting fixtures. You can choose new light fixtures from the local hardware store. No need to go to a specialty supply store. Brushed nickel has always been our favorite. Make sure they match well with the plumbing fixtures.
Add new flooring. If your bathroom flooring is old and worn, it can make your bathroom look dingy. Consider replacing with Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) for an easy option that you can probably DIY.
Add new towel bars and hardware. New towel bars/rings and toilet paper holders can add a touch of luxury to your bathroom. You can add a new mirror too and really set off the look.
Declutter your bathroom. A cluttered bathroom can make it look messy and disorganized. Take some time to declutter your bathroom and get rid of anything you don’t use or need.
